The Bhurtpore AND Whitchurch Beer Fest.... what a great day out!!
As usual The Bhurtpore ales all on fine form (Abbeydale Absolution; Merlin Dragon Slayer and Whim Arbor Lights). All advertised ales on at Whitchurch Cricket Club plus a couple of extras and a good turn out for a tuesday afternoon - I guess nearly 40 people! Both of Michelle's beers spot on as well as Clun Pale; Brew Company Proximus and Revolutions Milk & Alcohol. best beer (my view) without doubt was Old Mill blond bombshell - just superb. Did'ent hear a negative comment all afternoon - recommend a trip there if you get chance

Attended the Cheshire & Merseyside Regional Meeting yesterday. A grand day out at the Freshfields Hotel near Southport - 10 ales on including an easy drinking Lymestone Stonecutter, a tasty Captain Smith from Titanic, and and really really nice Springhead Drop of the Blackstuff!!
Good turn out at the meeting and guest speakers from CAMRA including Simon Hall who led a good discussion on CAMRA publications.
South Cheshire currently does not have a 'Cider Coordinator' nor a Young Members Coordinator on the Committee - volunteers? (did you know if a student is a member of an affiliated University Real Ale Society they can join CAMRA for £10 and get £20 Wetherspoon vouchers - even I know thats a profit of £10...!!)
Next meeting will be in Liverpool on 28th july venue to be arranged
